Founded in 2012, 80 Capital LLP (‘80Cap’) is headquartered in London and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA successor of the FSA) in the UK as an investment management firm.

80Cap is an alternative investment firm, with specialised expertise in global, quantitative trading strategies. Our approach to investing is based on an in-depth understanding of financial market dynamics  through the rigorous and extensive statistical analysis of financial data.

We invest in scientific research and IT as we believe it is the best way to build systems that could extract value out of financial markets.

We also believe that research cannot be constrained and therefore we will partner with talented scientific individual and will always allow them to pursue their own work in their respective research fields.

As of Spring 2015 – most of the activities undertaken by 80Cap have been acquired by Marshall Wace LLP.
